Laboratory chemical smalls

Many in the waste management industry see laboratory chemical wastes as something of a 'poisoned challice' and shy away from dealing with them.

They are also often amongst the most expensive wastes to discard, mainly because of the small individual package sizes and the amount of handling required to manage them properly.  If you produce laboratory wastes with any regularity, then you'll have probably experienced this for yourself, paying a high price for your appointed waste disposal contractor to come and list your wastes for you, package them accordingly and remove them for disposal.

At  Remsol, we take a different view.

Managing laboratory chemical wastes, whether from industry, healthcare or educational establishments, need not be overly complex or expensive.

We can provide you with a flexible and easy-to-use system for the interim storage and subsequent removal of your laboratory chemicals, ranging from single reagents to HPLC residues and regardless of the physical and health hazards they pose, that will significantly cut-down on the number of times they are handled by you and others involved in the disposal sequence.

By utilising the Remsol system, you can substantially reduce your business costs whilst simultaneously improving compliance with relevant environmental and dangerous goods transport laws.

For clients that benefit from our fully outsourced waste management service, we are also able to provide and operate facilities on site for bulking-up certain laboratory chemical wastes to reduce packaging and disposal costs.  For example, a pharmaceutical manufacturer will shortly benefit from the installation of a purpose-built, stainless steel chemical decanting station that will be used by our Waste Coordinator to bulk-up a mixed Acetonitrile and Methanol solution from HPLC testing from 2.5L winchester bottles and into 205L UN Approved drums: the bottles will then be reusable and the cost of disposing of the waste is expected to fall from £1.50 per litre to just £0.20p per litre!
