Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste is any article, substance or item that is listed in the European Waste Catalogue (EWC) or List of Waste (LoW) and marked with an asterisk *, and includes waste oil, fluorescent tubes, some batteries, CRT monitors, certain paints and most chemicals.  These are wastes that can cause greater harm to people and the environment if mismanaged and are therefore subject to much stricter controls.

Remsol, and the team we have assembled, has extensive experience of controlling and managing hazardous waste.

We have the people, skills and knowledge to help you appropriately classify your hazardous wastes and then deal with them safely and in accordance with current environmental laws.  We can also register your site as a Hazardous Waste Producer with the Environment Agency and obtain your unique Premises Code for you, as you are required to do if you produce more than 200kg of hazardous waste in any given 12 month period.

Using our vetted nationwide network of third-party waste transfer stations, chemical waste treatment plants and high-temperature incinerators, we can provide you with the most cost-effective solution for the removal and disposal of your hazardous waste, regardless of quantity or physical form.  We will even supply the necessary waste transfer paperwork, pre-completed for your convenience, and ADR labels as required.

Contact us if you produce hazardous waste and would like a quotation for its removal, whether as part of a one-off project or as an ongoing requirement.
