environmental excellence, guaranteed

As a leading provider of integrated waste and environmental management services, protecting and enhancing the natural environment is a top priority at Remsol.

When deciding on the best fate for our clients' wastestreams, we take into account not only the fiscal cost but also the environmental cost too.  We seek out options that fulfil the established Waste Hierarchy criteria and, wherever possible, we apply the proximity principle and try to ensure that wastes are dealt with as close as possible to their point of origin thereby avoiding so-called "waste tourism".

Unlike most of our peers, we even monitor the carbon emissions associated with transporting waste from our clients' facilities and, for our Managed Services clients, we also voluntarily offset these transport emissions ourselves - introducing a financial motivator to keep journeys to a reasonable minimum!

We recognise that we have a responsibility not only to promote good practice to others but to adopt environmentally responsible business practices ourselves.

So, we try to limit the number of vehicle journeys we undertake, using public transport wherever this is feasible; we try to keep our office energy consumption to a minimum; and we are experimenting with the delivery of "webinar" based training tools that will enable our clients to attend virtual training courses - just like sitting in a classroom, but in the comfort of their own office instead and with no travelling necessary.
