Remsol set to host "good practice" seminar for pharmaceutical waste management in response to Environment Agency request

Alliance with the Centre for Waste Management at the University of Central Lancashire unveilled

As part of its continuing efforts to forge closer links with academia in the North West, Remsol has recently established a new alliance with the Centre for Waste Management at UCLAN.

In the future, this symbiotic relationship will see Remsol and the Centre for Waste Management (CWM) collaborate on research projects that will benefit Remsol and its clients, as well as the development of research opportunities for MSc students wishing to base their dissertations on some of the work undertaken at Remsol.

Lee Petts, managing director at Remsol will also be joinging the department's MSc Industrial Steering Group aimed at helping to ensure that the content of the course is relevant to modern-day waste management and the needs of business.

One of the first collaborative ventures will be the joint promotion of Remsol's unique Lunch and LearnTM programme aimed at providing SME business owners and managers across Preston with free access to practical waste management training that will help them deliver credible improvements in their own workplaces.  UCLAN will be hosting the pilot events, which it is expected will take place in August 2009.

For more details about this new partnering, or for details about the Lunch and LearnTM programme, please contact us to discuss.
